Ballarat Little Athletics Centre
Ballarat Little Athletics runs a summer Track & Field competition from the start of October to end of March the following year.
There are seven (7) Regions associated with Little Athletics Victoria (LAVic). Ballarat Little Athletics Centre is a member of the Western Country Region (WCR). The Regions provide a formal meeting between other centres to allow an interchange of ideas.
WCR conducts Regional Championships on behalf of LAVic in Track & Field, Relays, and Cross Country. LAVic conducts the State Relay Championships, State Combined Events Championship, State Track & Field Championships and State Cross Country Championships. All children from Under 9 age groups and above are eligible to compete in these events.
Ballarat Little Athletics Centre is an Incorporated Association with Little Athletics Victoria who are the governing association for Little Athletics competition throughout Victoria and parts of New South Wales. LAVic sets the rules, regulations and guidelines for all athletic events and along with the State Championships provides sponsors, coaching clinics, coaching camps, insurance and information on child development in sport.
