Starting time: Athletes are requested to be at Llanberris Athletics Track by 8:30am Saturday mornings.

Athlete Supervision: Athletes MUST be supervised at ALL times. If it is not possible for you to be in attendance with your little athlete, you are required to arrange for another adult to be responsible for your athlete and let the age group Team Manager know. 

Please do not drop off your child without making prior arrangements for their care as this will result in your child being excluded from competition until an adult responsible for the care returns.  BLAC will not be responsible for little athletes left at the track during the competition meet, after the meet has concluded or training. 

Parent Responsibility: Parent participation is essential in the running of all little athletics. Please remember that when you, the parent/carer agree to your little athlete taking part at BLAC, you are indicating that you will help act as an official or other volunteer role. You will choose a minimum of 4 roles throughout the season prior to athletes getting their competition patch. 
Roles you may like to volunteer for each week are:

• Age Group Team Manager
• Sprint Start Line:  Computer operator, Starter and Assistants.
• Sprint Finish Line: Computer Operator and Assistants.
• Distance Computer Operators, Starter and Assistants.
• Set Up
• Pack Up
• First Aid
• Admin Roles
• BBQ


• At Region and State events Ballarat will be allocated roles for our families to roster to.

Many of these jobs are very simple and our committee and long time parents are only too happy to assist you in fulfilling these roles. Not only will you be helping the centre but your little athlete(s) will love seeing you get involved.

Adverse Weather: Cancellation of weekly competition programs can occur throughout the season due to extreme wet weather or heat conditions. On a Saturday morning, if you think that the program may be cancelled, check the Ballarat Little Athletics Facebook page, TeamApp or here on the website after 7:30am or after 4:00pm for a twilight meet. 

The decision to cancel a program is not taken lightly and is made in accordance with our Extreme Weather Policy by the centre committee with the safety of athletes and officials as their prime concern.
